UK Innovation & Science Seed Fund is partnering with Innovate UK’s £8.5 million Investment Accelerator pilot to fund innovative high-risk projects and invest in companies that have real potential for growth in the areas of infrastructure systems (smart infrastructure, energy, urban living and connected transport) and health and life sciences (covering health, med tech, agriculture and biosciences).
By joining both private investment and Innovate UK grant-funded opportunities at the onset, the Accelerator’s aim is to remove the need to find match funding, giving management teams more time to run the business rather than continually chasing investment. Additionally, the programme will seek to expand companies’ direct access to commercial acumen and market opportunities.
