Meet one of our Advisory Board Members, Ruth Elliot.

After training as an accountant with Deloitte, she worked within several positions in central government, gaining experience in leading and motivating teams of professionals, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of corporate services, implementing new systems and improving financial control.

This experience led to Ruth becoming the Deputy CFO at UK Research and Innovation, managing an annual budget of over £7bn. Ruth led work to integrate corporate functions from UKRI’s predecessor bodies as well as working on the launch of new programmes such as a new loans product for innovative companies.

Her experience within this role was subsequently what enabled Ruth to become the Chief Financial Officer and Director of Corporate Services at the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA).
