Early stage investments into the UK’s brightest tech startups are dwindling year on year, according to Dealroom which revealed the lowest deal count since 2016.

A recent Sifted article noted that with just 2.7k pre-seed, seed and Series A deals in 2023 and 1.1k recorded in 2024 so far, Future Planet Capital (which manages UKI2S), alongside the likes of SFC Capital and Mercia Ventures, are amongst a handful of investors still hedging their bets with British Startups.
