HonuWorx

HonuWorx is developing a system using an autonomous underwater vessel (AUV) to carry ROVs to site, replacing large vessels. Once it has reached the site, a surface buoy is deployed that enables remote communications to onshore teams who then remotely operate the ROVs. It requires no offshore crew and saves large amounts of CO₂ emissions. Stormy conditions don’t impact the subsea environment, so the HonuWorx solution avoids the damage and costly delays of surface launches in difficult conditions.
