
Fiona is an entrepreneur who has successfully established and grown biotechnology businesses.
She has led Absynth Biologics since 2008 to advance the Company’s technology platform and pipeline; comprising vaccines to prevent bacterial infections caused by S. aureus and C. difficile. Fiona previously co-founded the anti-infectives company Novacta Biosystems and was Chief Executive until late 2007.
In her early business career Fiona founded and managed Healthcare Ventures Limited, a European incubator company, for the Rothschild Bioscience Unit and J&J Development Corporation. Her broader interests are in supporting entrepreneurs working with BBSRC, the Royal Society of Edinburgh, Biotechnology YES and the Stevenage Bioscience Catalyst. Fiona has a PhD in Biochemistry (Kent) and an MBA from London Business School.
